Welcome to our counseling practice. As a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist, Sonja Williams has helped repair and enrich marriages and interpersonal relationships for more than twenty years.  Sonja Williams attained an undergraduate degree in family studies, and a Master of Divinity degree, focused on pastoral counseling for couples and families.  Complimenting her field experience, Sonja Williams completed her Master of Science degree in marriage and family therapy.

At the University of Maryland, Sonja Williams became an adjunct faculty member, and supervised marriage and family therapy graduate students. She was also adjunct faculty at Johns Hopkins University, teaching graduate level marriage, and family therapy courses.  While serving as a psychiatric therapist and faculty at Johns Hopkins, Sonja Williams launched her private therapy practice (Sonja Williams and Associates, LLC.,) and a couples and family coaching service called LoveSavers International, Inc.

Sonja Williams and Associates, LLC., provides clinical mental health services, in two convenient locations in Largo and Silver Spring, Maryland. Our compassionate team of mental health experts, provides services that include:

Clients served by our therapy practice, can also opt to include Christian Counseling in their sessions.  Sonja Williams and Associates, LLC., welcomes all clients and faiths, in a safe, non-judgement and supportive environment.   We utilize formative therapeutic modalities to help individuals and families access tools, interpersonal growth and a deeper understanding.  We help our clients define healthier relationship habits by improving connections, pathfinding internal healing, building trust, while improving the quality of interpersonal engagements.

Our team of clinical experts will help you explore interpersonal roadblocks, analyze communication barriers, and evaluate the impact of lifestyle factors to improve personal (and professional) relationships.
