Insurance:
I am an out of Network Provider, Aetna, Cigna and others. You can typically use our services if you have a PPO. Please check with your insurance carrier to ensure benefits.
A note about using insurance:
Insurance providers provide insurance coverage for medical conditions. It is the standard procedure for all mental health providers to submit a diagnostic code that corresponds to a psychiatric disorder listed in the DSM-IV-TR, in order for insurance to cover the services rendered. This means that clients who use medical insurance to pay for their therapy services will receive a psychiatric diagnosis. Some clients prefer to pay out of pocket instead of receiving a psychiatric diagnosis. Additionally, there is a difference between treatment of a psychiatric disorder and help with relationship conflict. Please check with your insurance carrier regarding their requirements before you schedule services with any mental health clinician.[/one_half]

A Message from Sonja: change can start today!
Often times in life we encounter painful circumstances and relationships difficulties that we have to manage.  At other times, we either make or fail to make decisions that create the type of outcomes that we desire in life.  Finally, sometimes bad things just happen, even to good people.  Therapy is a safe place where you can confidentially and without judgment, work through your negative repeating patterns, embarrassing moments, unwanted thoughts and emotions, and create healthy lifestyles, solutions and connections with others.  While I try to avoid giving directives, I will help you to see your circumstances from different vantage points, and to develop new strategies and skills that allow you to get on the best pathways for your life.

I am a firm believer in the Serenity Prayer that encourages us to accept the things we cannot change, to change the things we can, and to seek the wisdom to know the difference.  Some things and some people will not change.  The good news is that even a little change in the right direction can transform our lives and our relationships. Choice is our greatest defense against stagnation, failure and discouragement.  Why not choose to make a change today.  I would love to help you maximize your potential to have the love, life and success that is possible for for all of us.  Let’s get started today.  I look forward to hearing from you.
